On Friday 26th June 2015 a beach in Sousse, Tunisia was targeted by armed terrorists who killed 38 innocent people, with 30 of those affected being UK tourists. When news broke about the tragic attacks, the Alpha team were very shocked. This will always be remembered as a poignant day for the friends and family of those who were involved in the attacks and our heartfelt condolences go out to all those affected.
Whether you are currently in Tunisia, or have a future holiday to Tunisia already booked, we have put together the information below that we hope you will find helpful.

Travel insurance policies tend to have very specific terms and conditions, especially with regards to terrorism. However, we have spoken to our insurers (URV) who are sympathetic to the situation and they have promised to ensure that all claims are considered as compassionately as possible and based on the individual circumstances involved.
If you have already booked a trip to Tunisia (before 31st October 2015 only)
We appreciate that following the recent events you may not wish to travel now, and so you should liaise directly with your Tour Operator or Travel Agent to arrange either cancellation or a change in travel dates. If you decide you would like to change the date of your holiday or destination completely, please contact us and we will be able to amend this for you (with no administration fee charges).
Most travel insurance policies will not provide cover for cancellation due to terrorist activity, as this should be covered by your Tour Operator or Travel Agent. Unfortunately this means Alpha Travel Insurance will not be able to cover cancellations due to this event.
If you require any further information, you can visit the FCO website or contact Travel Claims Facilities directly to discuss an Alpha Travel Insurance claim on +44 (0) 1732 853 361. You can download a claim form by visiting our Claims page.
