Important Information: Monarch Airlines

Following the news that Monarch Airlines have gone into administration, we at Alpha Travel Insurance would like to clarify the cover available to our policyholders.

Monarch Travel Group ceased trading as of 4am, 2nd October 2017 due to their Atol license not being renewed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

If the payment to Monarch Group was made using a corporate or consumer credit card, then after referring to the above advice, you should contact your card provider and submit a chargeback claim. Customers who made payments using their Visa Debit card should also contact their bank and submit a chargeback claim.

Cancellation and Curtailment

This type of event is unfortunately not covered across the travel insurance industry for claims relating to cancellation or curtailment, unless specific cover for scheduled airline or supplier end failure has been purchased.
