If you haven't heard of them, WDC stands for Whale and Dolphin Conservation; they're the leading, global charity focused on the conservation and welfare of whales and dolphins.
They work with governments, NGOs, conservation and research projects as well as other corporations to run campaigns, raise awareness and fund research and projects to achieve their goal of a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free.

Why Alpha?
Alpha is passionate about Sustainable Tourism and we believe a massive part of this is wildlife in tourism. Captivity is outdated and can be very detrimental to the animals involved, despite promises that it aids education and conservation. We have chosen to support the work of WDC as one of their campaigns - to end the captivity of whales and dolphins - links quite nicely with our wildlife in tourism focus; Alpha is supporting the work WDC do in a few ways...
We have removed 'Swimming with dolphins' from our policy wordings and activity lists in line with WDC's swim-with policy
